At the start of each school year I like to ask for help with listening to children read in school.

There are several reasons for this; it is good for our Infant children to interact with a range of adults in school, it gives the children an alternative from reading to school staff who also teach reading skills as part of the Literacy lessons. It also gives parents and other members of the community a chance to come and help in school and find out how school runs on a ‘normal’ day to day basis.

Listening to the Infants read is not rocket science, it just requires a patient ear and a little time each week. If you would like to help with the Infant reading rota, please indicate what time you are available below and return this slip to school.
