B-by-B  C of E Primary School -
Homework in the Infant Class

The infant children need to practise their individual reading books and flashcards if they have them for just a few minutes every day.

All infant children will also be given a different Nursery Rhyme to learn by heart each week – this helps to reinforce rhyming patterns and is also an aide to memory.

Children in Year 1 and Year 2 will also be given a few simple spellings to learn each week. These are sent home at the start of each ½ term and are assessed in class in a wide variety of ways.

As well as a Maths information sheet available from the School – you can also work on the targets that your child was given for Maths/Literacy in their summer report.
