Come to Corgill Farm Holiday Cottages at Holden near
Bolton by Bowland in the heart of the Forest of Bowland and enjoy
a tranquil holiday in this most beautiful and unspoiled corner of
Lancashire.
The cottages were once part of a “model” farm.
Today the cottages, Woodpecker Cottage and The Old Dairy Cottage,
have
all the modern facilities you could wish for on your holiday. The
cottages were completely refurbished and tastefully decorated throughout
in spring 2007. They are fully equipped for self-catering but there
are many fine eating establishments within the Forest of Bowland
to explore if you wish.
The cottages are an ideal base for
a walking, cycling or fishing holiday or to exploring the pretty
villages and market towns of Lancashire. The cottages are only
a few miles from the border with Yorkshire making the Lake
District and the Yorkshire Dales just an hour away. The coast
is also around an hour away offering something for everyone
from the elegance of Southport and Lytham St Annes to the excitement
of the Pleasure Beach at Blackpool. Local historical attractions
include Sawley Abbey, Clitheroe Castle, Browsholme Hall, Slaidburn
and Dunsop Bridge.
Other local attractions include Bowland
Wild Boar Park, Gisburn Forest which is the largest forest
in Lancashire with a network of forest walks and cycle trails.
The cottages are currently awaiting
the grading from Visit Britain Quality in Tourism.
