| Members who
attended the November meeting were truly inspired when one
of our own members, Lois Gill, a nationally
well-known expert in floral art, gave a demonstration entitled “Seasonal
Delights”.
Lois gave a new dimension
to floral art, obviously focusing on the forthcoming Christmas
season, and kindly offered her
arrangements for raffle at the end of the meeting, raising £25
for Club funds. She had also organised a quiz as to the names
of eighteen different plants in an arrangement she had previously
prepared and this was won by Christine Ashworth. Lois was
thanked by Maxine Lord.
The Chairman thanked Beverley Cooper and Betty Owen for
the teas and homemade cakes.
The next meeting will be the Christmas Dinner at the Spread
Eagle and any members not at the November meeting are asked
to give their names before the end of November.
The Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at
the Village Hall and new members are always welcome.
