Skipton with four first team players made 231 for 9. Gary Owens made a fine 87 before being bowled by Simon Reynolds in the twentieth over. At this stage, with plenty of batting left, Skipton had reached 133. Jono then tore through the Skipton middle order just missing out on a hat trick; he bowled Kevin Owens for a ‘Golden’. Keith White and Joe Bunyan also kept the home side honest but David Smith, Ist X1 captain, steered Skipton to 231. The rain then came and Bolton were prevented from demonstrating batting as good as their bowling.
