Pat Sutton’s thrash with the bat nearly pulled of a dramatic victory. He and John Reynolds put on a 50 partnership before John was bowled by Sabden captain Hargreaves for 38. Simon Reynolds took three wickets with his last six balls to keep Sabden to 210. The score book was a complete mess with Sabden giving away 53 extras.
