Brown Hat Trick seals victory
Holmefield: (Rolls Royce won toss): BBB beat Rolls Royce by 61 runs.

The first game of the season included a hat trick from Martin Brown to complete a fine victory over Rolls Royce. BBB batted first with Stephen Booth, scoring probably the quickest 50 in a Sunday game, the leading Bowland batsman. He was ably supported by Martin Brown whose cricket is showing encouraging signs of maturity. Bolton’s young players Declan Kinney, Peter Iveson and Chris Billows all made valuable contributions. Ryan Kelly, slightly older, but still well below last year’s average age looks a good replacement for Gordon Wilson. The ground is a credit to all of Mick and Dougie’s hard work and the players reciprocated with a good all round performance.
