Brown second hat trick

Holmefield: (BBB won toss): BBB beat Gt Harwood by 8 wkts.

Martin Brown followed up last week’s hat trick with a second against a good young Great Harwood team. Ryan Kelly dismissed the Harwood middle order and he was ably supported by the young pretenders of Joe Bunyan, Chris Billows and Peter Iveson whom all took wickets. Joe Bunyan’s fielding was excellent making up for the shortcomings of his Dad whose see through tight strip in the rain revealed more than was desired to our ‘tea ladies’.

Chris Seed scored an elegant 59 again supported by Martin Brown who has already staked his claim, in both matches played so far, to the match winning performance trophy .

We are all hoping that Geoff’s constitution coped with the ample helpings of fruit caked he consumed during the Bowland innings.
