Bolton back to winning ways in the night league.

Holmefield: (BBB won toss) BBB beat Grindleton by 4 wickets.

Pat Sutton made the break through in over 5 when he dismissed Grindleton stars P Wilkinson and C Adcroft. Grindleton then only scored slowly although ‘Chalky’ Crossland tried to inject pace into the latter part of the innings. Dave Ashton followed up Sunday’s three wickets with two more and Tim Hall again excelled with bat, ball and his fine captaincy. Chris Billows and Spencer Ashton (for the visitors) fielded well with Chris going onto prevent Grindleton bowler Leach taking a hat trick after dismissing Holden and Brown. With the ball not coming onto the bat the Bolton innings slowed during overs 3 to 9 leaving a tight finish with only 3 balls to go when this time Mal Sutton finished the game with a fine 4.
