Wilson’s 65 worries Hurst Green.

Holmefield (HG won toss): Hurst Green beat BBB by 15 runs.

BBB ran Hurst Green closer this year losing by only 15 runs. At one stage during the Bolton innings the normally vociferous Stonyhurst side quietened knowing they had a game on their hands. John Reynolds produced a fine spell of 2 wickets for 1 off his first 5 overs. His father looked on in envy from the other end but whispered beneath his breath ‘That’s my boy’. Gordon Wilson knocked 13 fours in his 65. Again the old guard of Winfrey, Hill and Darlington served the club well, replacing some younger members of the club, who were suffering from the disease Hurst-Greenitus.
