Home, Thursday evening, 20 May 2004
All rounder Harris secures victory for Bolton over Waddington
SKIRDENSIDE: (BBB won toss): BBB beat Waddington by 7 wickets.
Iain Harris dismissed both Waddington openers (Camm to a fine catch by Steve Mercer) in his first over and then went onto score 26no to give Bolton a good win. Richard Drinkall and S Turner both hit 27 for Waddington who finished on 98 after the allotted 15 (8ball) overs. Mark Carlton took his first wickets for Bolton ending up with 2 for 5.
Bolton replied with gusto when Nigel Bunyan scored a quick 17 putting the
side well ahead of the required run rate for what in the end was a comfortable
victory. Both sides included some good young cricketers with Rob Park and
Joe Bunyan shining for Bolton and A Beggs, Ben Topham and Henry Kaye all
playing well for Waddington.
