Bolton-by-Bowland v Hurst Green
Stoneyhurst, 18th July 2004
Bolton miss opportunity to beat Hurst Green.
STONYHURST (BBB won toss): Hurst Green beat BBB by 15 runs.
Peter Rowson, back from Russia, took 5 for 25
but a mix up with bowling changes resulted in John Hunt bowling the last
and he found H Wilkinson for
Hurst Green in good form. Nevertheless the Hurst Green total of 153 was surmountable.
Nigel Bunyan and Stephen Booth should have stayed at the crease longer; Nigel’s
30 was Bolton’s highest score. Paul Levet and Simon Reynolds put on
47 runs in an unbeaten last wicket partnership but ended up 15 runs short
before running out of overs in a game which Bolton should have won.
