Bolton-by-Bowland v Grindleton

Grindelton with narrow victory over Bolton.
Holmefield (BBB won toss): Grindelton beat BBB by 2 wkts.
Rodney Booth and Ed Martineau, guests for the
day, both played a big part for Bolton in game that resulted in a Grindelton
win after a tense finish.
Rodney was Bolton’s top scorer and also took 2 for 8 off 6.3 overs.
Ed who was 2 for 7 after two overs finished on 3 for 25 whilst Martin Brown,
who took the important wicket of Gordon Leech, finished with 2 for 8. Bolton
fielded well with notable contributions from Phil Smalley and Joe Bunyan
but the Grindelton skipper, ‘Chalky Crossland’ ensured victory
with 15 not out at the end of their innings.
