Bolton-by-Bowland v Downham
Home, 10 June 2004
(BBB won toss): BBB beat Downham by 4 wickets.
Captain Tim Hall took 5 for 17 as Bolton maintained there 100% record in the Thursday night village cup competition. Downham started slowly and then Walmsley and P Titterington increased the pace; Tim Hall struck, clean bowling both before wrapping up the tail. Unlike the Downham innings Nigel Bunyan set Bolton’s innings off at a fast pace reaching his 25 in the sixth over. Bolton’s middle order suffered a minor collapse before Hall stabilised the response by scoring 28 and just as importantly coaching Rob Park to 8 not out. David Ashton scored 11 in his first outing for the Thursday side.
