Bolton-by-Bowland v Bolton Abbey
Away, 19 September 2004
Ashton's 2 sixes cannot save BBB.
Bolton Abbey beat BBB by 52 runs. Bolton Abbey batted first, and BBB bowled steadily (Chris Seed 3 for 20) and the Bolton Abbey total of 160 in 30 overs looked achievable. But BBB never got going until Bedford and Ashton put on 46 runs. But always behind the required rate - with 8 overs left 88 runs were required. Too much for the BBB tail end. Hill had an unbeaten 13.
