Bolton-by-Bowland v Grindleton
Away, Sunday 23rd May
Glover causes grief for Grindelton.
GRINDELTON (BBB won toss): BBB beat Grindelton by 58 runs.
BBB avenged the defeat earlier in the season
after a fine display of batting from Danny Glover. He scored 108 off 87
balls with a mature innings including
sixteen fours and one six. Paul Levet opened with Mick Smalley who took an
early rest, second ball, bowled by Wilkinson. The experiment of Levet opening
continued to work; he and Glover put on 105 for the second wicket before
Levet was run out for 34 after a fine throw at the stumps by Brown. Steven
Booth knocked a quick 40 putting the game beyond Grindelton’s reach.
Mick Smalley made up for his ‘near golden’ with some fine fielding
as Grindelton made their way to 178 for 6 after their allotted 40 overs.
